The project of refitting an old school building into a visitor centre was completed in two phases. In the first phase, architect Mario Franković designed a permanent display about griffin vultures of the island of Cres, biodiversity and an ethnographical collection on the ground floor. In the second phase, architect Martina Gudac planned the 2nd floor, rooms for volunteers, a multi-purpose hall and a room for the youngest visitors. Well-equipped, the visitor centre contributes greatly to the tourist valorisation of the island’s natural and cultural heritage.
