Jo. Van Norden is a Dutch design studio founded by Joost van Norden. The studio creates furniture, lighting, and accessories with a focus on minimalism and functionality. The studio’s work has been featured in exhibitions and galleries, and its products have been widely recognized for their innovative design and high quality. Fashion, decorative items, art, furniture design – Jo. van Norden expresses his creativity in various fields of work. After studying at Berlin University of the Arts – including a spell at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris – he graduated with a Master’s degree in industrial design. He then relocated to London, where he worked as a design assistant and patternmaker for Vivienne Westwood. As a scholarship student, he studied design at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart before moving on to Berlin. In 2010 he set up his gallery for vintage furniture and designer items in the German capital.
