Satyendra Pakhalé is an Indian-Dutch designer who has been at the forefront of product design for over two decades. Multifaceted designer Satyendra Pakhalé established his design practice SPA — Satyendra Pakhalé Associates in 1998 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The studio has been active in several fields ranging from industrial design, healthcare, mobility, exhibition design, architecture and editions. Pakhalé was trained both in India (at the IIT-B Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay) and Switzerland (at the Art Center College of Design Europe). Subsequently he was part of the pioneering ‘new business creation’ team, conceiving some of the first product ideas for new technologies in the area of digital communication, healthcare and mobility at Philip Design in the mid-90s.
