Wis Design is a Swedish design studio that focuses on furniture design and product development. Their designs are characterized by a focus on functionality and simplicity, as well as a clean aesthetic that is intended to enhance the user’s environment and experiences. WIS Design = Lisa Widén (1978) and Anna Wallin Irinarchos (1979). Lisa and Anna met when they were both studying Product Design at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, and since 2006 they have run WIS Design as designers and interior architects. They want their designs to be easy to love and easy to place in homes and public spaces. Their pieces should add extra finesse, have a content, surprise people and make them think – adding a kind of everyday romance. The FlipFlop hook rail was presented at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2010.
