The existing school and kindergarten building, located within the historic urban area of Veprinac, is listed in the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Croatia, although the building itself is not under special protection as a cultural monument. The intention of this extension was not to replicate the architectural expression of the past; instead, forms and materials were chosen to meet contemporary needs and standards. The floor plan of the new building is shaped by the sloping terrain, allowing the extension to blend almost seamlessly into the existing site. The kindergarten is accessed on the ground floor via a glazed vestibule, which also serves as a warm connection to the existing building.
