The Small Format Gallery in Bol on Brac was designed as an exhibition space for the presentation of various artists from the donated private collection of miniatures by Ivica Karnincic – Koloc. The design approach was based on the need to accommodate a large number of painting and sculpture miniatures in a small space of 115 m2. The white „floating” cloak, intact from the existing walls, ceiling and floor, meanders in the gallery space and creates the scenery of a long exhibition canvas with numerous art paintings. Only non-colors and materials are present in their natural appearance so that the display artifacts do not distract. ČERNELIĆ Interior Solutions has installed 2tec2 interlaced PVC fibers with superior properties and easy maintenance, which gives the impression of a monolithic floor, and a black OSB panel, creates a contrasting background, mimics mechanical installations and emphasizes the rhythm of wooden laminated beams.
